This home is designed for family and friends to share, and accommodates a couple or a crowd comfortably without sacrificing its clarity. The interior exhibits a softer side, a contrast to the rugged hard exterior. Although minimalist the use of natural materials in a very controlled way injects warmth and personality into the home.

The client favoured a material palette of exposed timber and concrete. These two tactile materials in conjunction with the skylights and row of windows all add to the drama of the space. The exposed concrete blocks also served as a thermal mass to absorb heat from the sun.
The space is warm and funky and provides a multipurpose space for our client.
